The game has an intricate infantry control system. The third campaign, Falaise Pocket, has players control a unit of SS Panzergrenadiers stationed in the town of Trun, where they must hold the city and evacuate the American and Canadian forces. The second campaign, Causeway, follows the United States Airborne Division's attempts to secure the La Fiere causeway before allied aid arrives.
In the first campaign, Tiger Ace, players take control of Michael Wittmann's tank during the 1944 Villers-Bocage battle in which they must escape from the British forces. The game features three new story campaigns, each with its own unique plot. This expansion is an addition to the already popular game, "Company of Heroes".
